Attukal Pongala is the biggest gathering of women in the world. Each year millions of people come to Trivandrum for Pongala offerings, they do the Pongala and go back, leaving Lakhs and lakhs of bricks and brickbats on the streets.
This year Pongala happened on 2nd of March and that day coincides with the 100th birth anniversary of Laurie Baker. Indian Institute of architects organised this mass public installation a tribute to the legendary architect Laurie Baker.
